La idea de viajar en todo el mundo, con la pandemia aconteciendo está siendo una situación de intentos con buenos resultados en algunas partes y de retrocesos con dificultades mayores en otros. Las decisiones están en si es aceptado turistas de países que han conseguido superar el Covid-19 y decirles no a aquellos turistas de países que realmente el coronavirus ha aumentado. La reactivación de la industria turística enfrenta problemas.
Todo esto ha causado una mezcolanza entre cuarentenas variantes y restricciones en todo el mundo, impidiendo que exista un planeamiento a largo plazo que permita a las empresas pagar salarios. También los demás sectores se ven afectados, desde los vendedores ambulantes como los restaurantes y hoteles 5 estrellas.
¿Por qué la industria turística está en problemas?
Países como Australia, por ejemplo, el gobierno de Queensland prohibió desde el 1 de agosto la entrada de turistas de Sydney por causa del aumento de casos que han sido registrados en la mayor ciudad del país.
Varios hoteles 5 estrellas en la ciudad histórica de Roma no han podido abrir, planeaban hacerlo a finales de la aclamada primavera. Lo más difícil esta sucediendo porque el país no está permitiendo la entrada de visitantes de Europa y países que tienen un aumento de casos de COVID-19.
La industria turística no esta consiguiendo, algunas empresas esta llegando a la quiebra. Las bajas en el porcentaje de turistas solo esta llegando a dos cifras. A nivel mundial las pérdidas son muy altas, cifradas en millones de dólares.
A inicio de la pandemia, en Italia los ciudadanos que trabajaron en hoteles y restaurantes hace mucho tiempo, decidieron irse a trabajar a las afueras de las ciudades recolectando verduras y frutas en fincas.
En Portugal, en la parte costera de Algarve, las calamidades personas están filtrándose dentro de los trabajadores de restaurantes, hoteles y bares, porque se encuentran sin clientes llevando a la perdida de esperanza de recuperación. Sobre todo, en una región que es mayoritariamente turística, el desempleo a crecido en un 230%.
En países como Sudáfrica han tenido una disminución de turista que llega a 98% en el mes de mayo. Si ese porcentaje es comparado con el mismo mes del año 2019, puede observarse que más de 500 mil empleos están corriendo peligro en el turismo, esto afirma Consejo de Negocios de Turismo.
Las 12 islas que pertenecen al Caribe tienen como principal renta el turismo, significa de un 20% a 80% del PIB. Lo que causa una grande dificulta a la economía es que la ocupación de los hoteles esta muy bajar, cifras menores al 10%, afirman trabajadores del área.
Conclusión
A pesar de que en Mexico ya comenzó a restaurarse la industria turística, en la parte de cruceros esta totalmente detenido. La información dada por la Dirección General de Puertos (DGP), no ha llegado ningún barco desde junio del 2020, eso esta pasando en los 27 puertos que tiene el país. Las playas turísticas están en su mayoría vacías en tiempos de vacaciones de verano.
